The property of Chanson in the Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru "Vergelesses" covers 5.4 hectares. One 1er Cru parcel of this does not meet the house's strict quality standards and is therefore only marketed as Villages.
2022 was a magnificent Burgundy vintage, the wines combine depth, power and freshness at a level that is rarely the case. The result is a profound and powerful Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru, probably even the best wine that Chanson has ever bottled in this AOP. You can see the signature of the new cellar master, who was able to further increase the already high quality of the Chanson wines. The wine has a noble wood note that goes perfectly with the fine fruit of this Pinot. On the palate it is in the best balance, has a lot of body and is very lively and stimulating. You don't notice the 14.5% alcohol at all. A great wine that keeps up with many of the better-known AOPs and will give you great pleasure for many years.
