The Cahors Grande Cuvée Prestige is the classic wine in the Château la Coustarelle range . 90% Malbec grapes are joined by 10% Tannat, a agrape which is actually known from the Madiran. The grapes come from the best rterroir in the Cahors, the so-called 3eme terrace. It matures in barriques, 50% in new and 50% in one and two-year-old barrels. This creates an aromatic multi-layered and powerful red wine with plenty of grip, aromas of cassis, plums, vanilla, mint and mocha. The Coustarelle Prestige is a long-lived wine, although it reaches its drinability after 3-4 years in the bottle. An individual wine for relatively low price!
