The Visionnaire is the most concentrated Grenache Noir- based wine by the Cave de la Petite Révolution . Only the best of the best is used for this cuvée. It is aged in barriques of Darnajou, which are used for the great Pomerol wines of Chateau Lafleur and l'Eglise-Clinet or the legendary Pingus of Peter Sissek. In this barrels, the wine is fermented according to the so-called "vinification integral", a method which was considered impossible a few years ago in the red wine making and is now managed by a handful of experts. After 12 months of storage, the wine is again filled into a new barrel, which is called a barrique cultivation in 200% new barrels.
The bottle glass alone weighs 1.2 kg, the cork has an enormous length and, of course, the best label paper available was used. The label design is made by the artist Johannes-Maximilian Müller. The wine is individually packaged in heavy high quality wooden cases. Great - like the wine itself!
The Visionnaire 2015 is a huge wine with a voluminous as well as noble bouquet, aromas of superripe berry fruits mate with the noble wood note of the premium barriques. The huge extract of this monster wine hides the 15% alcohol completely, the wine is tremendously lively, perfectly balanced, of great complexity and always long and smooth in the final. This noble groth is not only outstanding in Provence, it definitely competes with the very best wine icons of the world.
