At Château Cambon-la-Pelouse in the Haut-Médoc, Hubert de Boüard, owner of the famous Chateau l'Angelus, shows his talent at vinifying great Bordeaux wines, making one of the most charming Haut-Medocs, but the wines of Cambon-la-Pelouse are still authentic Bordeaux. The excellent location of the estate, between the Cru Classé Cantemerle and Giscours, near the border of the AOC Margaux, shows the great potential of Cambon-la-Pelouse. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are planted in equal parts, plus 4% Petit Verdot. One tenth of the 39 hectares are organically farmed since 2009.
The Bordeaux connoisseurs get a lot of wine for their money here. Bordeaux does not have to be expensive! Try and convince yourself.
