Borgogno is one of the oldest wineries in Piedmont, founded in 1761. Tradition is still the key to produce these classic Piedmontese wines, which are known for their excellent ageing potential. Borgogno, by the way, cultivates a huge collection of old vintages, still available at the winery. These wines show impressively how longlived the Baroli of Borgogno are. For decades there was only a Barolo Riserva. With the 2003 vintage, the first single vineyard Barolo named "Liste" was realeased. In 2008, "Cannubi" and "Fossati" followed. In every price range, you get authentic Piedmont wines from Borgogno, very well made and with the typical character of the region and the grape variety.
