A full-bodied and juicy red wine experience is the 3 or Tre Passo Rosso organic from Cielo e Terra. Stylistically, a modern southern Italian in the lower semi-dry range, which was awarded a whopping 98/100 points by wine critic Luca Maroni, who loves this style.
The Tre (=three) comes from the three grape varieties from which it is made, Primitivo, Negroamaro and Sangiovese. Some of these berries are dried on the vine, so that an even more concentrated must or later wine is created. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, and part of the harvest is aged in wooden barrels for extra flavor.
The 3 Passo Cielo 1908 has a dark red color. Its scent is reminiscent of ripe dark berries, cherries, coffee and dried fruits. In terms of taste, it scores with its smooth fullness, the tannins are barely noticeable in the intense fruitiness, the long-lasting aftertaste again shows the berry fruits of the scent and also a delicate note reminiscent of chocolate.
A red southern Italian that a lot of people like and it is extremely inexpensive too. Ideal with pizza, pasta & Co.
