The Silvaner from the Rhine-Hessian Silvaner specialist. Jens Windisch has a great passion for this "Franconian" white wine vine, which is also widespread in Rheinhessen and is able to deliver top wines.
Frank Rembold August 2022 tasting note for the 2020 Silvaner Gutswein by Werther Windisch: "Mineral and clear in the scent, has a very light Silvaner vegetable tone, which is not disturbing at all, plus some pear and more clearly of apple. Balanced despite the low residual sugar, medium weight, good length. I like it a lot."
This inexpensive estate wine is an all-rounder at the table, fish, vegetable dishes, sausage and cheese platters and white meat (Wiener Schnitzel!) is a perfect match here.
