The red Savigny-les-Beaune from Chapuis & Chapuis comes from two plots in this AOP north of the town of Beaune. One is leased, the other is owned by the Chapuis brothers. Both are certified organic and have clay-limestone soils.
50% of the grapes are destemmed (separated from the stems) and 50% are fermented as whole bunches to increase the structure. This Savigny is aged for 11 months in barriques, with a small proportion of new barrels.
The 2020 Savigny-les-Beaune from Chapuis & Chapuisof red currants, cherries and raspberries, there is also a delicate floral note. On the palate it is lively and full, with the ripe aromas and simultaneous freshness of the excellent 2020 vintage inspiring. The long finale is perfectly balanced and has very good extract. A enchanting Burgundy
