Saint-Véran is considered one of the best AOPs in southern Burgundy. Juicy and full-bodied white wines from the Chardonnay grape variety are produced here on around 700 hectares. The Domaine Daniel Pollier does not use wooden barrels for the aging of its St.-Véran. 2018 was a vintage with smooth and extract-rich wines of excellent quality. This Saint-Véran has clarity, freshness and fullness, a southern Burgundy straight out of a picture book. Flavors such as liquorice, sweet pastries, dried fruits and some hazelnuts round off the harmonious taste picture.
