Saint Amour is located in the very north of the ten Cru de Beaujolais. This cru has a delicate and perfectly balanced character. Due to its charming nature, it does not need to be stored in the bottle; you can enjoy the wines as soon as they are on the market or leave them until the fifth year after the harvest, or longer depending on the vintage.
Laurent Perrachon produces only a small amount of Saint-Amour, but a particularly good one from very old vines that have an average age of around 70 years. This gives this Saint-Amour a lot of substance and depth. 2022 was an excellent year for Beaujolais and produced juicy and extract-rich wines that were unusually opulent for Beaujolais. The Saint-Amour Vieilles Vignes is already a lot of fun to drink in its early phase.
