The Markowitsch family also remains true to their principles when it comes to rosé: mainly local grape varieties, careful harvesting by hand and low residual sugar content. The result is a crisp, fresh rosé with aromas reminiscent of strawberries and ripe black cherries.
Due to the perfect ripeness of the grapes, the 2022 Rosé has so much extract that it perfectly integrates the acidity so that the wine is harmonious but also fresh. Half of the 2022 vintage of the Markowitsch Rosé consists of the Zweigelt grape variety, plus 30% Blaufränkisch and 10% each of Merlot and Pinot Noir. It is fermented in steel tanks, where the wine is stored on the fine lees for some time, giving it stability and structure.
We particularly recommend this fresh rosé as an aperitif, with fish dishes, antipasti, summery vegetable dishes and pasta.
