The Roero Arneis is a successful product from Piedmont. Threatened with extinction in the 1980s, it is booming today and has become a fixture as a lively white wine with character. It grows north-west of the city of Alba, the sandy soils of the Roero region are ideal for this grape variety, where it can best develop its subtle aroma.
The Roero Arneis DOCG "Sabbie" from San Silvestro is a lively and elegant white wine with a delicately creamy palate, its aromas are reminiscent of apricots, herbs and a flowery meadow with a hint of camomile. It is matured in steel tanks to transport the fruit to the bottle as pure as possible.
The Arneis San Silvestro can be used in many culinary ways, fish from the oven or in a white wine sauce, risotto, pasta with mushrooms, spaghetti carbonara, seafood, milder cheeses or poultry are perfect, even with a summer salad this white Piedmontese best.
The 2022 vintage of Roero Arneis Sabbie was awarded a gold medal at the Mundus Vini wine awards, just like the 2019 vintage.
