The Ruppertsberger Hoheburg is the warmest P.C. vineyard of the winery Dr. Bürklin Wolf. In this vineyard, the first biodynamic experiment of the winery was started. This was successful, making the Hoheburg the pioneer wine of today's winery philosophy.

This cru with its white rsandstone soil is cauldron-shaped, which keeps the heat and leads to fruity and relatively creamy Riesling wines. It takes its name from a castle that was here in the 14th century. Bürklin-Wolf owns an impressive 4.68 hectares of vines here, which fortunately means that there is quite a lot of this popular wine.

2017 is considered to be one of the best dry Rieslings vintages of all time. We're not sure if anything like this has happened before. The wines have a great balance at a very high level, are powerful and fine at the same time, and they are expected to have a long life. The Riesling Hoheburg 2017 has a highly attractive bouquet reminiscent of ripe peaches with a hint of pepper. On the palate it is full and almost creamy, the length and balance with structuring and fresh acidity is impressive. Great class, from now on and without haste in the best drinking phase.
