The Riesling Mineralist by H.T. Eser bears its name because of the fine minerality that the vines get in the Rheingau vineyards of Oestricher Lenchen. It is matured partly in steel tanks and partly in large traditional wooden barrels, where it matures towards its first drinking phase. The mineralist was fermented spontaneously, i.e. without the addition of cultured yeast.
The warm 2019 vintage gives this fine Rheingau Riesling an intense peach note and also exotic fruit notes and citrus. But it always remains straightforward and mineral. The long finish has good extract and is very lively. A great wine for little money.
