The fruit-sweet Riesling Kabinett wines are currently experiencing a renaissance. The wonderful balance between sweetness and acidity in these wines is quite unique in the wine world.
The 2021 Riesling Kabinett by Werther Windisch has an enchanting aroma of peach, citrus notes and green to white fruity notes such as apples. It seems less sweet than the 44 grams of residual sweetness per liter would have you believe, because it is countered by the classy and animating acidity of the 2021 vintage. You can drink this Riesling young, but it also ages for a very long time and harmoniously.
