With its stimulating acid structure, 2021 is an ideal sweet wine vintage. The freshness and elegance of this enchanting Riesling Auslese by Werther Windisch goes perfectly with its juicy fruity sweetness, the aromas are reminiscent of ripe peaches, exotic fruits such as papaya and mango and citrus fruits. On the palate it shows a brilliant play of sweetness and acidity, is so engagingly delicate that you can hardly resist it. The finale ends very elegantly and above all very long-lasting. There's a lot of tension and suspense here. You can already enjoy this wine, and if you forget it in a dark corner of the cellar for a few years, it certainly won't take it amiss.
The structure is classic for a German Riesling Auslese, low alcohol, and a perfect balance between sweetness, acidity and mineral elegance. Falstaff magazine awards 93/100 for the 2020 vintage, and 2021 should be even better.
