The Quid Pro Quo Tinto from Casa Santos Lima comes from one of the most innovative wineries in Portugal, which is also responsible for the Quinta do Boavista wines. The red grapes of the Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Petit Verdot grape varieties grow in the southern Portuguese Alentejo, in the warm and sparsely inhabited hinterland of the Algarve, where the largest cork plantations in Europe are also located.
The red wine Quid Pro Quo matured for four months in used oak barrels, which gave it a delicate wooden barrel note. The scent also contains intense notes of dark berries, cocoa and floral notes reminiscent of lavender and violets. On the palate it is amazingly full and juicy, a very smooth and fruity red wine with a lot of charm, stylistically not dissimilar to many southern Italian red wines. A wine that many people enjoy and also represents excellent value.
