Emilia-Romagna is a large wine-growing region, but is still relatively unknown to many wine lovers, as a large proportion of the vines planted there are used to produce Lambrusco. There are delicious still wines here, like this Pinot Nero from Cantine Romagnoli, which has been producing wine since 1897.
This charming red wine shows notes of red fruits such as cherries, raspberries and strawberries. On the palate, the wine is elegant, as befits a Pinot Noir, but at the same time rather soft and balanced, with a good balance between fruitiness and tannins.
Wine critic Luca Maroni rated the vintages 2018 (96/100) and 2019 (94/100) very euphorically, especially when you take into account the low price of this wine.
The Romagnoli Pinot Nero Emilia IGT is a versatile Italian red wine that not only tastes good to many people, but is also an all-rounder at the table. It goes well with a variety of dishes, especially pasta dishes with mushrooms, grilled dishes, poultry and semi-hard cheese.
