The Petit Clos from Jean-Luc Baldès comes from calcareous clay soils on the so-called 2nd terrace in the AOP Cahors. In addition to the 85% Malbec grape variety, it also contains 15% Merlot, which gives the wine a slightly softer character than would be the case with 100% Malbec.
The emphasis with Triguedina Petit Clos is on the fruit. It is made without contact with wood, but is fuller and more intense than the Malbec du Clos from Baldès.
