The Muscat Beaume de Venise is a classic among French dessert wines. It has the stunning fragrance of very ripe Muscat grapes, which achieve high must weights in the warm climate of the southern Rhône, but do not develop noble rot due to the dry and windy climate. The fermentation is stopped with distillate so that at least 125 grams of residual sugar remain in the wine.
