Mount Riley's Estate Sauvignon Blanc is from different locations in New Zealand's Marlborough, the Awatere Valley and the Wairau Valley. With this most important white wine of the range, Mount Riley relies above all on freshness and elegance, clarity in the aromas and a relatively moderate alcohol content of 12.5%. This wine is the figurehead of the Mount Riley Winery.
After harvesting in the appropriate plots, the berries are separated from the stems, selected, pressed and then fermented in cool steel tanks to bring the fruit aromas to the fore. These are reminiscent of gooseberries, citrus fruits, passion fruit and cassis. Very typical Sauvignon Blanc aromas with an additional touch of tropical exoticism. It is intense on the palate, but also lively and drinkable, thanks to its fresh nature. It is fun in many walks of life.
The Mount Riley Sauvignon Blanc is particularly suitable as a summery aperitif, with fish and seafood, light dishes such as salads and vegetables from the grill or from the oven.
