Meneghetti is one of the leading wineries on the Istrian peninsula / Croatia. In contrast to many neighbors, people here have always relied on red wine, especially the Merlot grape variety, which also produces first-class results in neighboring Friuli.
The Meneghetti Merlot conveys a touch of Pomerol in Istria. It is a dark red wine with violet reflections, which is very typical of wines from this grape variety due to its intense scent of plums and blueberries. There are also elegant wood notes from 10 months of aging in used barriques. On the palate the wine is elegant and balanced, has a supple character, but also a good structure in the background, which makes the wine fresh and fine. He has class!
