The 2016 vintage is considered one of the greatest ever produced in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
The Mas de Boislauzon Châteauneuf comes from four plots called Boislauzon, la Gardiole, Palestor and Brusquières and consists of 70% Grenache Noir and 30% Mourvèdre. It is fermented without the addition of breeding yeasts and matured in concrete tanks and large wooden barrels.
The press is very impressed with the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Mas de Boislauzon, Winecellar Insider Jeff Leve gives it 93/100, Wine Enthusiast even 94/100 - quote: " Hints of licorice, lavender and granite accent crisp black cherry in this full-bodied but fresh wine. It's vibrant and primarily in fruit quality, with a gripping tannic edge that's invigorating. The wine shows well in its youth but should improve through 2030."
