The Malbec du Clos is the Triguedina for every day. It comes from the young vineyards of the Baldès family, who have been growing wine in Cahors, in the southwest of France, since 1830.

The Malbec grape variety is the flagship of the region. Setting the style for red wines, which today are no longer as rough and aloof as they were said to be decades ago.

The harvest of Jean-Luc Baldès' Malbec du Clos takes place early in the morning in order to start fermentation at the lowest possible temperature. This ensures clear fruit in the later wine. The berries are completely destemmed (separated from the stems). You don't want any extra tannins from the stems here. The goal is to bottle this wine with lots of freshness and fruit. That's why it doesn't store in wood. Its dark berry character is typical of the Malbec grape variety, the wine has a nice body, a good balance and a very fair price.
