The Lucente is, so to speak, the little brother of the Luce, although small doesn't actually apply, there's a lot of serious wine in the bottle. The Lucente consists of Merlot and Sangiovese, and is aged for 12 months in barriques with a proportion of new barrels, which the winery does not quantify exactly.
2021 was an outstanding vintage in Tuscany. The 2021 Lucente Tenuta Luce already demonstrates this with its rich, dark red color, which comes from healthy and perfectly ripened grapes. The intense and open scent has a combination of red and dark berries, cherries, and also a delicate floral note reminiscent of violets. On the palate, the Lucente is full-bodied, charming and with a long finish supported by the ripe tannins in the background. Incredibly tasty, even in his early youth.
