The Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Porêts Saint-Georges is the origin of the Faiveley empire. The first vineyards the family acquired were in this prime location in Nuits. That is why this wine still has a special status in the extensive range of the Domaine Faiveley.
Les Porêts Saint-Georges is also one of the best vineyards in the municipality of Nuits-Saint-Georges, connoisseurs of the scene see it in second place in the AOP, right after neighboring Les Saint-Georges. The wines are considered full, robust, almost unapproachable in their youth, but rewarding those who are patient. With the appropriate maturity, they become generous, complex, elegant and gentle.
