Lacoste Borie is the name of the second wine of the famous Grand Cru Classé Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste from Pauillac. For a château, the Lacoste Borie production data would be worthy of a first wine: average age of the vines 38 years and 45% new barriques! Others don't begrudge their Grand Vin that! So it's no surprise that a first-class Pauillac is created here.
The voluminous and incredibly charming 2018 vintage consists of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, which were harvested between September 15th and 29th, 2017. The Lacoste Borie 2018 is fun early on due to the charming vintage character, but can of course also mature for many years.
