The La Chaussynette from Christine and Daniel Chaussy (Mas de Boislauzon) is the winery's “easy to drink” red wine, made from the Grenache Noir and Syrah grape varieties. These grow in the southern Rhone on clayey soils that contain the round pebbles that are also known from sites in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Here, too, great care is taken in the preparation; the harvest is done by hand, then the grapes are sorted again and 100% destemmed (separated from the stems). Fermentation takes place only using the naturally present yeasts and is matured in tanks.
This delicious red, like all wines from the Chaussy family, is also organically grown.
