Late bottled vintage ports come from just one vintage and are stored longer in the barrel than vintage ports that require bottle aging. The "LBV" is bottled when it is ready to drink, which is usually the case after 5-6 years in the barrel. It therefore does not need any further storage in the bottle, which of course it can withstand without any problems.
The Wiese & Krohn LBV 2015 is a juicy and fruity port with extract and a long finish. It goes perfectly with intense cheeses, especially blue cheeses, and with chocolate desserts.
