The red grape variety Teran is native to the region of Istria and to neighboring wine-growing regions in Slovenia and Italy Friuli-Venezia Giulia, here called Terrano. It is related to the Refosco. It produces powerful and structured red wines that produce independent wines.

The Teran from Kozlovic comes from the Žmergo vineyard in Istria, whose vines are around 35 years old. It is harvested by hand and after fermentation in the tank it is aged in large traditional wooden barrels for eight months.

The Kozlovic Teran has a medium color with violet reflections, but it is rather dark for this not particularly colorful grape variety. The open scent is reminiscent of red and dark berries, you could also smell some cherry and a hint of pepper. As it matures, notes of cocoa and forest floor develop in this wine. On the palate, the Kozlovic Teran is grippy and fresh with a medium body, the wine is stimulating and doesn't fill you up.

An excellent food accompaniment, also suitable for fatty dishes such as poultry or intense dishes such as game. A first-class representative of its region and grape variety, made competently and with sensitivity by Kozlovic.
