Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch rates the 2017 Göldtröpfchen Spätlese by Julian Haart with a whopping 19/20 and writes: "Medium lemon yellow. Presents a fruitier and more accessible scent than the Kabinetts, smells of nectarine, peach, mandarin, jasmine , flower honey and saffron. Not only combines all these aromatic components in the mouth, but also shows melting, freshness and finesse. The acid literally supports the dense body and completes the sweet-acid interplay. Despite the high extract, it remains precise like a blade, lasts an enormously long time and always makes you want the next sip. A picture-book late harvest with enormous potential and great elegance! 2020 to 2040."
Julian Haart is a rising star on the Moselle. The winery was only founded in 2010 and yet you can hardly buy the wines anymore. Julian Haart cultivates a dance-like, light wine style that can only be achieved on the Moselle. The wines are brilliant and precise, this applies to both the dry and the remaining sweet Rieslings.
