The Vendage Tardive Riesling 2012 from Hugel is also available in the practical "half bottle", a size that we are very happy to offer for sweet wines.
This wine was made from grapes with very high ripeness and also from noble rot berries. It is the highest quality sweet Riesling of this vintage, as no Selection de Grains Nobles were bottled by Hugel in 2012.
The grapes come from the Grand cru location Schoenenbour in Riquewihr in Alsace, one of the top locations for Riesling. After a long period of aging in traditional wooden barrels, this delicious sweet wine was allowed to mature in the bottle for several more years until Hugel was of the opinion that it had reached the best drinking window and could therefore be sold.
