Herrenberg is one of the three GG vineyards of the Maximin Grünhaus winery. The composition of the ground and the exposure are very similar to those in neighboring Abtsberg. The Herrenberg used to be a little behind the Abtsberg in terms of appreciation, as the situation in the rear part is a bit cooler. In the meantime, however, this has even proven to be an advantage in warm years, so that the winery sees the wines of the two Crus on the same level. The Herrenberg has a storage potential of several decades.
2020 was a warm year that it played into the hands of Herrenberg. The wine has a brilliant clarity and Minarelic elegance that inspire.
The strictly rating portal Wein-Plus.eu awards 93/100 to the Riesling Herrenberg GG 2020 and praises the polished and cool style, the notes of stone fruit, citrus and herbs. The lively acidity, the good depth and the elegant style are emphasized on the palate.
