The estate wine series by Werther Windisch is always very fresh and summery. The Pinot Gris, which tends to be fullbodied wine, is no exception here. In the 2021 edition of the Grauburgunder (=Grauer Burgunder, Pinot Gris, Pinot Grigio) there is also the aromatic coolness and the vintage characteristics characterized by a noticeable acidity.
Frank Rembold October 2022: "a light Pinot Gris with greenish reflections. Appears fresh on the nose, delicate yellow fruit, clear, net melon, ripe apple, almonds. A very fresh Pinot Gris type on the palate, the acidity is crisp, especially for this vine, but ripe. Everything is very lively and aromatically crystal clear. Pinot Grigio drinkers it is certainly too acidic, the Riesling friend will certainly be able to make friends with it.
