Graham Beck's Méthode Cap Classique Brut consists of the Burgundy varieties Chardonnay (51%) and Pinot Noir (49%), which are also used for the best champagnes are responsible. The Chardonnay provides fruitiness and elegance, the Pinot for complexity and structure. The Graham Beck brut is also called "President's Choice" because it was served at the inauguration of Nelson Mandela and also at Barack Obama's presidential election.

The grapes for this most important sparkling wine of the house grow in different regions of the Western Cape in South Africa, are harvested by hand and fermented in the Robertson winery, matured and processed into sparkling wine. It ages on the lees for between fifteen and eighteen months before being disgorged and sold.

As I've heard for high-quality sparkling wines, the Méthode Cap Classique also exudes a fine note of yeast, the fruit is reminiscent of limes and pears. On the palate with elegant and persistent perlage and invigorating freshness, the aromas of the bouquet are found in the long finish. A very good sparkling wine that meets the taste of many people.
