Gigondas is located relatively high at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirails massif. Here the Grenache vine thrives excellently, the wines of Gigondas have the best reputation on the southern Rhône after Châteauneuf-du-Pape. They are well structured and are characterized by intense cherry fruit and the typical herbal notes of the Garrigue.
With Francois Xavier Lambert, the Gigondas consists of three quarters of the Grenache grape variety, plus some Syrah and Mourvèdre. The expansion in Fudern takes 10-12 months. A spicy red wine that tastes young, but can also be stored for more than 10 years.
