La Combe aux Moins is a not very well-known but still excellent 1er Cru location in Gevrey-Chambertin. The soil conditions are comparable to those in les Cazetiers, only slightly higher. Here, too, there are still some vines from the s, which gives the wine additional depth. Because of its depth and substance, the Combe aux Moins at Faiveley is given almost as much new barriques as the Grand Crus.
2014 is a classically structured vintage with good aging potential, it embodies Burgundy elegance perfectly. This 1er Cru shows fine red fruit notes, spices and some oak notes from the barrique barrel, which have now been finely integrated. On the palate it has a nice bite, elegance and depth, the tannins are melting. A beautiful and now ready-to-drink Burgundy.
