Sofi Rosso is a cuvée made from a high proportion of Lagrein and Merlot, the latter rounds off the former, balances the tannins of the Lagrein and gives the wine a fruity charm, making it enjoyable to drink young with delight. The wine always remains recognizable as a South Tyrolean product.
The Franz Haas Sofi Rosso has a darker garnet red and is aromatically reminiscent of ripe red fruits and a hint of violets. The finish is characterized by spicy notes and is fruity and fresh with beautiful suppleness. A versatile red with a typical modern South Tyrolean character.
