The Franciacorta is the sparkling wine center of Italy, if you will, the "Italian Champagne". The same grape varieties, such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, play the leading role here, but Franciacorta is generally fruitier and softer than its French counterpart.

The Monte Delma Rosé brut consists of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Nero, the latter is responsible for the beautiful pink color. After fermentation, the wine is bottled with yeast and unfermented must, which initiates the second fermentation and creates carbon dioxide. After 18 months the yeast is removed and the Farnciacorta brut is put on sale.

The result is a high-quality sparkling wine that impresses with its complex aromas such as ripe fruit and bread crust. Its perfect balance and fine, long-lasting pearls demonstrate the skillful craftsmanship of the Berardi family. A lot of time is taken here, the rosé is mostly made from base wines that are 7-8 years old. At montedelma you get a very handcrafted Franciacorta, high-class and stylistically individual.
