Franciacorta is the sparkling wine center of Italy. The same grape varieties as in Champagne play the main role here, such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but Franciacorta is generally more fruity and softer than its French counterpart.
The Pas Dosé is composed of particularly ripe wines, because of the ripe acid, there is no need to add a dosage. So this Franciacorta is exceptionally dry, but in the best balance. Its animating nature makes it an ideal aperitif, but it is also suitable as a food companion, especially with fish, oysters and shellfish.
