The Franciacorta is the sparkling wine center of Italy, if you will, the "Italian Champagne". The same grape varieties play the leading role here, such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but Franciacorta is generally fruitier and smoother than its French counterpart.
The Satèn is, so to speak, the Blanc de Blancs of Montedelma. It is also a bit softer in terms of carbonation than the other sparkling wines of the house.
