Josic also makes a red wine cuvée Superior, which consists of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, supplemented with smaller proportions of Syrah and Merlot. The difference to the “normal” Josic Cuvée lies in the higher quality grapes and the aging in 500L wooden barrels and 225L barriques. The resulting roasted notes give the wine an extra kick and a noble style.
The Josic Cuvee Superior's scent is reminiscent of ripe dark berries and spicy notes such as cinnamon, pepper and vanilla. On the palate it is characterized by a voluminous body, the juicy fruit integrates the tannins well. A charming and full dry red wine, as always with Josic, excellently made.
