The vines for the Collio Cabernet Sauvignon by Marco Felluga are in vineyards in the municipalities of Cormòns and San Floriano del Collio in Italian Friuli, near the border with Slovenia. The soils there are characterized by marl and sandstone. For the highest quality, the harvest is done here only by hand. Typical of the red wines from this area is their charming nature due to the soft tannins, even with varieties such as Cabernet, which is otherwise known for distinctive tannins.

At Marco Felluga, all Cabernet grapes are destemmed, i.e. separated from the stalks and fermented in steel tanks. The Cabernet is then matured in oak barrels for twelve months, where it gets its finishing touches. The Felluga Cabernet Sauvignon is more red than dark berries, it also shows light cocoa notes and delicate nutty aromas. Despite its softness, it has good structure and is quite charming for a Cabernet.

An ideal wine with antipasti, summer barbecues, semi-hard cheeses, pasta and pizza.
