The individual vineyard Clos Saint-Floret has calcareous soil and is located on the historic site of the Saint-Florent Abbey in the Saumur wine-growing region. The Chenin Blanc vines in this plot are over 35 years old. The vineyard is cultivated and bottled exclusively by Langlois. A “monopoly” location.
The warm 2020 vintage is not skimpy on fullness and extract; the Clos Saint-Floret Blanc has a noticeable barrique influence, which is well integrated by the wine's extract. A hedonistic Chenin Blanc that you just have to love. Pure Loire!
