The Drouhin Chorey-les-Beaune grows on clay-limestone soils at the foot of the Corton hill. Some of the vineyards belong to Joseph Drouhin himself, other grapes for this wine come from contract winegrowers who meet the high quality standards of the house.
A very fine and charming Chorey-les-Beaune from Joseph Drouhin, which carries the freshness and clarity of the excellent 2020 vintage. This fine Pinot Noir is aged between 12 and 16 months in French barriques, 20% of which are new.
Véronique Boss-Drouhin describes this Burgundy as follows: "A very pleasant wine. Bright clear red color. The aromas surprise with their intensity and fruit. On the palate a delicate, supple, graceful, round body. Very aromatic in the aftertaste, with a hint of blackberry jam. As the wine ages, wild blackberries dominate. After 3 or 5 years, the wine takes on a characteristic scent of truffles and undergrowth, which develops into notes of game.”
