Chapuis & Chapuis produces wines that are as natural as possible; only minimal amounts of sulfur are used during bottling, and neither finening nor filtering is carried out. The white Chorey-lès-Beaune is full of elasticity and mineral depth.
The excellent 2020 vintage brought a wonderful white Burgundy with aromas reminiscent of pineapple, acacia blossom, green figs and citrus fruits. On the palate it is grippy, rich in extracts and perfectly balanced, the long finish is accompanied by an animating saltiness. The rather low proportion of new barrels of around 10% gives the wine a subtle spice in the background. It's all very skillfully prepared andworth every penny.
