The Tenuta Sant'Alfonso is one of the two Chianti Classico Crus from the Zingarelli family from Rocce della Macie. It consists of 100% Sangiovese grape variety and is aged in large 35 hectoliter wooden barrels made of French oak. This takes at least a year, after which this Chianti Classico rests in the bottle for a few more months before customers can enjoy it.
