Château Romassan is the winery in Bandol in southern France of the Domaines Ott. The AOP Bandol is the realm of the powerful Mourvedre grape, which also plays the most important role in Rosé Romassan at over 50%. There is also around a quarter each of Grenache Noir and Cinsault.

The winery has been part of the Domaines Ott since 1956, which has carried out large-scale renovation work in the terraced vineyards and buildings in order to present Chateau Romassan in its best light. Today the estate is one of the very best in Provence.

Romassan Rosé has the typical light color of modern rosé wines. The scent has hints of grapefruit and strawberries. On the palate it is rich in substance and yet also round and fresh, the long finish is complex and taut. A first-class rosé that you can drink young, but by no means has to. This wine can mature very well in a cool cellar for several years.

We particularly recommend it with grilled or pan-fried fish and vegetables, as an aperitif or with lighter poultry dishes.
