Château Meyney is a traditional winery in Saint-Estèphe that has been producing at Grand Cru Classé level for several years. Meyney has an excellent vineyard located between Chateau Montrose and Phelan-Segur, which makes the top quality plausible. The winery was first mentioned in the 17th century and was owned for much of the 20th century by the trading house Cordier, who bottled some excellent vintages in the 1980s.

Meyney has been under new ownership since 2004 and hired the first-class oenologist Hubert de Bouard, which raised the quality to even higher spheres. The contiguous vineyard, a rarity in Bordeaux, is planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. The Cabernet Franc, which used to be in the blend, has mainly been replaced by Merlot, which makes today's vintages a little juicier. Nevertheless, you have a very typical Saint-Estèphe with strength and fullness, which can be stored for a long time.

The excellent 2020 vintage has received a lot of praise from the press, with Decanter magazine at 93/100, Parker's Wine Advocate at 92/100.
