The Mingot family owns two wineries in Libournais. Château Maréchaux in the AOP Bordeaux and, since 2013, the only two-hectare Château la Pensée in the AOP Lalande de Pomerol. The latter is given 20% new barriques for aging, which give the wine from the 40-year-old Merlot vines structure, nobility and flavor. The top vintage 2020 resulted in an soft and charming wine with perfectly ripened tannins, which is pleasantly smooth even in its youth. Juicy dark fruits and a hint of liquorice can be found in the long-lasting finale. A remarkable right bank Bordeaux at a very fair price.
